Drug & Alcohol Center for Men

DOUBLE CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO MAKE IT LARGER
We were able to actually go out and do some "mission" work for the first time today. Mike and I along with the others in our "barefoot language" class went to a Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center for men. Mike did his first Bible Study in Spanish. Of course he had to read it, as we are not fluent in Spanish. He did write the study and then had it translated and was able to read it clear enough for the men to understand him. God is good! Others of our group did presentations on work safety and cooking banana bread. It felt good to be doing something other than verbs.

Please pray for these 26 men that are trying to better their life. This center is a Christian based organization and it is operated from the sale of what the men make and sell. Some of those things are school desk, white wipe boards, rocking chairs, wood work, and other metal work. Here they get spiritually fed as well as learning a trade. Thursday and Friday we will go out into one of the smaller towns or villages to distribute the "Gospel of John" and make contacts for a church, as well as showing a Christian film at night. Pray that we will be able to be understood with our limited langauge and The Gospel in hand.
